• Xanadu is supporting two important projects in Timor that we believe are achievable, necessary, and will provide the long-term help in health and education that families in the local village communities have asked for.

• Xanadu supports the work of an amazing medical team from Adelaide, who voluntarily travel to poor communities in East Timor.

• Xanadu has been actively supporting the Surgeon’s trips, where they perform life-changing surgery on the people of East Timor who would not otherwise receive the help they need.

• Xanadu is a privately owned small business, but gives support to environmental and social justice causes through profits earned.

• We have a commitment to environmental and animal rights issues, including the Whale & Dolphin Conservation Society, and more.

• On a lighter note we have regular tarot readings and reiki healings at the stores. These are popular so we recommend you book ahead either by phone or drop in.

• Xanadu markets a range of products from many developing countries, such as Indonesia, Thailand, India and Nepal.

• We travel and deal directly with some of the craftspeople who make the products, ensuring that they receive a fair wage for labour.

• We stock a beautiful range of handcrafted furniture, homewares, giftware, clothing and accessories, brought right to our doorstep here in Adelaide. Plus, books and tarot. We do not sell any animal based products and use no rainforest timbers.
